1.       SkillWiki

Kishore Pallapothu launched SkillWiki in 2016, and it was in just three years, in 2019, that he received the ASA Elevate Award. He was selected for this award due to his volunteering contributions through this group. Kishore came up with an innovative Career Enhancement Program. Being a part of the IT industry, he successfully identified the constraints that the employees were facing. This was primarily about skill gap. Due to the expenses involved in pursuing advanced IT courses, deserving candidates were not able to scale themselves up. At SkillWiki, Kishore provided IT courses for free to these employees. In the process, he helped several IT employees to embrace high-paying jobs.

The ASA Elevate Award: In 2019, Kishore’s brainchild, SkillWiki bagged an award from ASA (American

Sociological Association). This is a national organization for sociologists. People from a wide range of backgrounds form its members. These members encompass researchers, teachers at high schools, faculty from colleges, community colleges and universities, students and practitioners. Around one-fifth of the members are engaged in business, non-profit and the government sector. Besides, the association carries out several activities in promoting vitality, diversity and visibility. The members also enjoy a wide range of services from the organizations. ASA functions at both the international and national levels. The organization focuses on formulating policies and implementing certain programs to impact sociology.

2.       West Valley Community Services

West Valley Community Services is a reputed NGO that operates in different areas of the US. Kishore Pallapothu directly engaged himself with the benevolent activities of this group, supporting needy families financially. Besides, the NGO worked to provide food and housing to the homeless people. Despite of his success in the professional front, Kishore channelized his efforts for a social cause, working with the NGO closely. The organization acknowledged his efforts, as he worked in different areas like Monte Sereno, Los Gatos, Cupertino, Saratoga and West San Jose.
